Auction of Select Alpacas
Another part of the Futurity fund raising programme is an auction of selected high quality alpacas. There will be 10 available lots, six of these will be reserved for our named and gold sponsors and the remaining four available on a strict first past the post basis to all alpaca owners, one entry per owner. In line with the Futurity theme, all entries must be British born and by a BAS registered sire. Entry fees per lot will be £500 plus VAT discounted to £250 for our Gold sponsors. For those wishing to consider an entry, advice on the suitability of alpacas to present will be given by the Futurity group upon request.
The auction will be conducted by Harrison and Hetherington Auctioneers and will take place during the evening dinner on Saturday 17th March. Telephone bids will be accepted by prior arrangement with the Auctioneers.
These alpacas will be showcased on the Futurity website and presented in the Futurity Catalogue mailed to over 1000 alpaca enthusiasts both in the UK and Europe. The catalogue will also be available at the door during the event.
Viewing of these alpacas prior to 11th March 2012 will be by prior arrangement with their current owners. From 16th March 2012 they will be on show at the Futurity.
We hope all alpaca owners will respond to this event and support it.
The Futurity request that successful bidders pay for their purchases at the close of the auction either by cheque drawn on a UK bank or by using the credit and debit card facilities available at the time.
Armitage Livestock Insurance will be in attendance when the auction closes during the Celebration Dinner to provide immediate mortality cover should successful bidders wish to take such cover following the fall of the hammer.
